I would recommend the Circle De Freak series by Darren Shan. Cirque De Freak has all the supernatural wrapped together. If you like an unexpected ending it has it. There are many plot twists. The first book starts with the friendship of two boys and the main character's sacrifice to save his friends life by turning into a vampire and joining the Circus where he meets many of the people who are also different in their own way. He eventually meets Sam who later becomes his friend and a very important person. This a good book if you also have a strong stomach blood and gore and need a little excitement in life. This is definitely not your average vampire and werewolf story.

I recommend that you read The Giver by Lois Lowry. I just recently read this book with some of my classmates and really enjoyed it. The book is a very interesting one that is about a utopian community. It is about what happens when a boy living in this community is chosen to be The Giver and finds out what the real world is like outside the community. It is a good book that you can read quickly and will enjoy all the way through.

I would recommend the book Between Shades of Gray by Ruta Sepetys. This book is about a fifteen year old girl name Lina. During the middle of the night, one summer in 1941, Lina, her little brother, and her mother are taken by the Soviet secret police. The family is thrown on a train and is transported to Siberia and is put in a prison camp. The family is not sure why they have been taken and are trying to reach the father, who has yet to be found. In this book the family has to fight for their life as they get transported from one horrible camp to another. I would recommend this book because I think that it is a very moving book and has a great message to people. It is very interesting and I was never able to put the book down. It is very suspenseful and a drama-packed story. I suggest that everyone reads this amazing book.

I recommend Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. It is a fantastic book written by Mark Twain. After two kids happen on a large sum of money they run away on a great adventure because they are tired of school. They go on crazy adventures that are interesting, fun to read, and are full of suspense.

I would recommend the memoir of President George Bush, Decision Points. In it the 43rd President of the United States gives a concise summary of his key life experiences and the define moments of his presidency. Even for those not interested into politics or those that dislike President Bush, it makes a good read and helps explain the rationale he used when making key decisions, such as Invasion of Iraq for example. It provides probably the most revealing look into the Bush Administration and it's decisions. -Konrad Sartorius

I would recommend Safe Haven by Nicholas Sparks. It is about a lady running from her abusive husband. She finds herself in a small unimportant town. She falls in love with a man who's wife died. The lady became good friends with her neighbor who turned out to be the ghost of the mans wife who passed away. The man falls madly in love with the lady and he had to protect her from her past. I think this is a very good book for any age person.

I would recommend "Hatchet" by Gary Paulsen. If you haven't read it, this book is about survival in the wilderness. This thirteen year old boy named Brian Robeson who was going to visit his father (since his parents are divorced) boards on a plane and this pilot has a heart attack while he was taking Brian to his father. Brian had to control the plane and land it in the river. He is stranded in the Canadian woods and has to survive by himself. He has been watching survival TV shows (before he left to see his father) and is trying to survive by going what he has watched. I loved this book because someday we might need to survive on our own.

Most of you have probably read it, but if not, I would recommend "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" by J.K. Rowling (even if you've seen the movie). A lot of people may read this books when they're younger, but it appeals to all ages, and at fourteen, fifteen, and sixteen you're definitely not too old to read it. The story is about Harry, a wizard who is, in this book, our age who must convince his world that an evil wizard has returned. However, no one believes him, and while he's trying to convince the world that he's telling the truth, his mind is being jacked by the evil wizard, causing many unintended consequences. This book will interest everyone of all genders, and even though it is about a fictional world, the problems the characters face are surprisingly relatable to us. Once you start reading it, you won't be able to put it down; I know I couldn't. I definitely think that almost everyone would enjoy this book.

I would recommend reading the Lemony Snicket series, A Series of Unfortunate Events. The plot is based on the same kind of story line every time. The books are about the life of the Baudelaires and their unhappy life. It starts as a mysterious fire and how everywhere they go the people that take care of then mysteriously die and somehow Count Olaf is involved. He is a master of disguise but the Bauldelaires seem to recognized a familiar face when they see one. Violet, Klaus, and Sunny Baudelaire are three very gifted children. Violet is an amazing inventor. Klaus is a smart brainiac and has photographic memory. Sunny has four very sharp teeth that can bite through anything. The series may not be the ideal books your looking for but the series sure had me hooked. It's full of adventure, mystery, and a strong family bond.

I would recommend " The Mysterious Benedict Society" by Trenton Lee Stewart. This book is wonderful, it keeps you wanting to flip the page. This book is a thick book, it is 485 pages but you will blow through it like you would never imagine. It is about four kids (all differant ages) they are very gifted, they are all orphans. they are all part of a society that defeats Mr. Curtain. This story is very suspensiful and keeps you on edge. I couldnt put the book down and I hope that you won't either.

For my book recommendation, I would like to recommend The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. If you didn't already know, this book is about a future civilization in which the leaders keep control of the districts by hosting an annual "Hunger Games" every year. They take two children from every district and force them to kill each other until only one remains. This story centers on Katniss, a teenager girl whom everyone will love. The story focuses on her journey of survival. It is a VERY exciting book who I think everyone would love, and it is very popular. It is a very exciting read and you should check it out!

Sorry I didn't realize we couldn't use the hunger games. Disregard my last post everyone!
For my ACTUAL book recommendation, I chose War of the Worlds by H.G. Wells. Although most of you have probably heard of this book, I would recommend that you read it. It's a great book for everyone, but especially for those of you that like sci-fi. It is about an alien invasion on earth and it follows the story of a man in England who is alive when all of this is going on. It has lots of action and is very entertaining and well-written. It gets you thinking about what you would do in his situation. It's isn't too similar to the movie that has Tom Cruise in it, but I think you'll like it a lot!

I would recommend the book Someone Like You by Sarah Dessen. Its about two girls Halley and Scarlett who are best friends ever since they met. Halley has always been the shy and quite one, and Scarlett was the braver and more outgoing friend. Scarlett has always been the one who knew that to do, who to be, and with who to be with. But by thier junior year, Scarlett's boyfriend is killed in a motorcycle accident, and later on Scarlett finds out she is carrying his baby. For the first time ever, Scarlett is dependent on Halley, Halley has to learn how to stay strong for Scarlett. The set up seems a little bit mature, but in real life this stuff happens all the time, and is something that most girls can relate to. It is a book about the struggles of right and wrong, and what people tell you to do, and inturn going with what is in our heart. But most of all it is a book about a friendship and its struggles.
