I'm pretty sure a bunch of people already recommended this book but if you want a boo that will really grasp your attention and you won't be able to put down you should read " The Hunger Games". It's about a girl named Katniss Everdeen that is living in a world manipulated by "districts". She lives in a district where each year the over meant draws a a boys and girls name from each twelve districts to have a battle till death. Unfortunately, Katniss' younger sister Prim gets picked to fight but Katniss couldn't bear the thought of losing Prim so she volunteers as tribute. From there it's a series of events following what happens in the series of The Hunger Games as Katniss battles for survival

I would like to recommend the book Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson. I recommend Speak to all men and women looking for a voice. This book shows you through diary entries the story of Melinda Sordino, a girl who was victimized by one of her own classmates. Melinda was at a party with her friends when the incident took place. Melinda, being only a freshmen, was easily targeted by a boy by the name of Andy Evans. Andy Evans was the all star and super popular guy at her school. When Andy hit up a conversation with Melinda she was so happy. That is until Andy asked her if she wanted to go somewhere with him. She happily obliged being so oblivious. Not knowing where he was taking her, Melinda followed him to his car. Something really bad happened at his car. Melinda called the police to report him, but before she could speak the police were on their way. When they arrived no one knows the real reason why she called. Everyone just assumes that she called to break up the party. That is not the reason at all. When school starts up Melinda is the outcast. No one wants to talk to her except 2 people, Mr. Freeman and Heather. Mr. Freeman is her art teacher who challenges her to build a tree and Heather is the new girl who attaches herself to Melinda. Throughout the whole school year Melinda finds new ways to make a tree and she learns the real rules of friendship. Heather eventually ditches Melinda for the "Marthas" the cool girl group. Melinda is devastated and falls even more into her depression. Melinda at this point in the novel is barely holding on and needs a friend. Her ex best friend Rachel stopped talking to her after the party. Melinda makes an effort towards the end of the novel to talk to Rachel. She tries to tell her what Andy did to her because Rachel is dating Andy Evans and doesn't believe what Melinda has to say. Melinda is telling the truth. Rachel just thinks that she is trying to break them up. At the end of the novel the truth prevails and everything is let out. Melinda finally talks and you wont believe what she has to say. Also read the book to find out what happens to innocent Melinda. I give this book 5 stars and 2 thumbs up. It makes you not want to bully anyone or treat anyone unfair. It makes you think for sure.

I would recommend to you, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, by J.K. Rowling. This book tells the story of Harry, who is a Wizard. Harry attends a Wizarding school called Hogwarts. In this story, Harry is informed by a House Elf named Dobby that he shouldn't come back to Hogwarts, because he believes there will be dangerous things happening there this year. Harry goes anyway, and right when he gets there, he hears strange noises everywhere he goes. And at Halloween, after attending a ghost party, he finds writings on the walls written in blood that says, "The Chamber of Secrets has been opened, enemies of the heir, beware." It is up to Harry and his best friends Ron and Hermoine to figure out who the "Heir" is, and what the noise is coming in the corridors.

My computer won't let me actually make an account, it's messing up, but I wanted to get this out here anyway: I recommend The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams, because it's really funny and absurd and a totally different kind of writing than anyone will be used to! It's really funny, and it might be a change from what most of you are reading.

I would recommend "The Decline and Fall of Practically Everybody" by Will Cuppy. It is historically accurate, while at the same time being hilariously funny. The author is a fascinating study, too. In separate chapters, in chronological order; famous people are depicted biographically. Cuppy's research was painstaking, but his writing is extremely witty. Individuals with his dry sense of humor will experience the best time learning actual history.

I recommend Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. The book is about a twenty year-old girl named Elizabeth Bennet and her relationship with her family and friends. It follows her through her discovery of love and life. Elizabeth, also known as Lizzy, is an opinionated young girl, which was surprising to most people in the time period. She is the second eldest of five girls and is close with her older sister, Jane. Despite her three younger sisters and both her parents being embarrassing for Jane and Lizzy, they both love them a great deal. While at a ball, Lizzy meets the Bingleys and their friend, Mr. Darcy. In Lizzy's hometown, Mr. Darcy is perceived as being rude and proud and therefore, quickly gains Lizzy's disapproval. Throughout the introduction of many other characters and continual interactions between the Bennets and the Bingleys, including Darcy, Jane Austen succeeds in developing a wonderful story that is relatable to all time periods. There were many aspects of the book I enjoyed. First, I believe that Jane Austen's writing style is quite extraordinary. She does not excessively describe the setting, but instead, focuses on the development of the plot, making the book much easier to understand. Arguably, Austen's use of characterization was even more important. Lizzy Bennet is very easy to relate to. Unlike many women in classical literature, she is strong and independent with her own set of beliefs. She also is not perfect. Throughout the book she makes many mistakes which contribute to her personality development. Austen had one primary character, but she did not neglect the development of the other characters, making the interactions between them more enjoyable. Another wonderful part of the book is the varying themes presented. Austen touches upon the idea that family is more important than social standings, people are not always what they seem, and one must be one's self in order to be truly happy. The themes were applicable to life today as were the emotions of the characters, making the book an enjoyable read. Despite its stereotypes as a dreary classic or a book for girls, I feel as if everyone could enjoy it if they gave it a chance.

I recommend Everlost by Neal Shusterman. Its a great book about two kids who die in a car crash, but don't quite make it into the light. It can be very slow at times, but makes up for it with big twists and turns. Its not necessarily the happiest book to read through, but its a great drama that you just cant put down. There are two more books after the first, so if you don't like the first one, you don't have to read through the other two. But if you're like me and you loved the first one, its good to know it doesn't end there...

I recommend The Lucky One by Nicholas Sparks. This book is excellent for young teenage girls who are looking for a wonderful novel about romance. In this piece, former U.S. Marine Logan Thibault finds a photograph of a beautiful young lady I the dirt during his tour in Iraq, when all of a sudden Logan becomes the luckiest marine to ever live. Why? Maybe because of the photograph of the wonderful, mysterious lady that he found a picture of earlier that week. When Thibault goes back he decides to find the girl in the photograph, but when he does find her will she understand where Hey. Is coming from, or think that he's some creeper trying to live off of her and her mom? This wonderful book is filled with excitement and I hope you can get a chance to read it.
