I love this book sooooo much! However when I read about Ronnie I always think of Miley Cyrus which is kind of putting a damper on the book. It really impresses me that Ronnie can hang out around all these bad people and all these bad things and she still hasn't fallen into peer pressure yet. It shows how strong willed she is. That Marcus character gives me the chills - what a creeper.

I like how the prologue is in the present then when you get to the first chapter, you are going back six months. It is cool how each chapter is told from a different person's perspective and that really makes the book interesting. So far, I am not a big fan of Ronnie because she just seems like a very hateful and ungrateful person. But I do agree with the fact that it's pretty cool that she is friends with a bad group of people back home, but she still manages to not give in to peer pressure and do what everyone else is doing. I like how the is aware what drugs and alcohol can do to a person, so she steers clear of it. That says a lot about her. I don't like how it is just her first day visiting her father, and she has already found a bad crowd to hangout with. I do not like Marcus at all. He creeps me out as well. I wish Ronnie would not hangout with that group of people because they only sound like bad news based on the fight that happened in the end of chapter 5.

Yeah Ronnie is really impressive! The more and more I learn about her I like her! She know how to deny temptation and at first she was mean, but now he dad and her are finally building their relationship. I think it's cute how nice she is to her little brother Jonah. At first I felt bad for Blaze but now...She's terrible. Someone needs to work on their jealousy issues.

I love Will as well! I just think she should have been a little nicer when they first met! I love that her and her dad are finally building a relationship and she isn't being so mean anymore. I think Ronnie and Jonah's relationship is adorable... despite the occasionally bickering between them. But that's what siblings do! It's nothing unusual!

Pro-5 Hey Guys! Hope you don't mind I join! Well the first five chapters were pretty awesome! haven't read a book that hooks me in the first chapter and this is the first. I too imagine Ronnie as Miley Cyrus and I can't stop thinking of the characters in the story and pairing them up with the actors. I completely understand Ronnie and the way she's acting towards her dad. I mean if it were my dad and he had bailed just like that I don't think I'd be able to forgive him for a long time. I respect Steve I feel like maybe he feels guilt because he left his family. I love the way Ronnie and Will met! I don't have a good feeling about Blaze, Marcus, and the other two guys! I think Will feels obligated to cover for Scott for so e reason other that for being his friend and i feel like because will is covering for him Marcus os able to bully both of them. But so far it's a great book!
6-13 Hello Mates! Hope you are all doing well! Chapters 6-13 were very informative. It gave a lot of extra information that helped me understand it a bit more! In the series of chapters you can now definitely tell that Steve is a good and patient man and he had made a bad choice. One he can't make up or do right. Also you can see that Ronnie has a soft spot when it comes to animals and Jonah! Ronnie is actually a really nice caring girl but due to being emotionally hurt by her father's abandonment she now feels like she has to be a rebel. Which in turn explains the stealing in New York and the way she speaks to her mother and father. I now realize that Will isn't just some high school jock but he actually cares about a girls personality. (Which totally earned him points with me) Marcus on the other hand is an arrogant jerk who doesn't really care about what he does in life and treats his girlfriend, Blaze, like trash. I think Marcus has taking an unhealthy liking to Ronnie and it's causing problems. (I really would like to hurt him for that) I know have a feel for why Steve really left his family. I'm assuming that everything in his life was a routine and he was void of any emotions and he went in search of it through music. I also realize Steve's and Jonah's relationship growing more and more especially with the stain glass window occupying their time. I wish Blaze would just tell the police that she was the one who had planted the discs in Ronnie's bag. I know she's a caring girl. I absolutely love this book!!!
14-21 Hi guys! Love these chapter! Ronnie and Will are together. (I've always been really into romance books so I get giddy when stuff like this happens) Ashley almost ruined it but it was fixed in the end. I love how they're both so natural with each other and Will's not scared to be himself with her because she's a vegetarian AND he's freaking rich. His mom seems to be a bit either over protective or thinks of herself better than Ronnie. Tom's a lot funnier and talking to him is just easier. I think i teared up when I read about how Will's brother died and how he blamed himself for it. I also know why Will owes Scott now. Marcus just got really creepy! He seems to think he intimidates every one and I loved it when Ronnie stood her ground and didn't let him push her down. I understand, in a deeper meaning, why Ronnie has such harsh feelings towards her dad, but maybe she's starting to forgive him.
22-29 Marcus loving fire is surely not a good sign and the little scene he pulled at Megan's wedding was horrible. I started crying tears of anger because of how Will's mom blamed everything on Ronnie and talked about how she wasn't of their class and wasn't worth Will's time. I don't like how Will feels so guilty about his brother's death that he's going to do whatever his mother want him to do. Like going to Vanderbilt. Scott is starting to get on my nerves with his volleyball stuff. I understand he needs a scholarship but leave the love birds alone! Will was really close to telling Ronnie about the fire incident. Chicken! I think he just needs to tell her and stop feeling so guilty. Other than that they make a really good team especially when they helped rescue Blaze from burning up at the pier, and even after Ronnie called it off with Will after the wedding she was still able to make up for her mistake and they got back together. I think there was foreshadowing in the earlier chapters about Steve's father dying of cancer because Ronnie is beginning to notice her father sleeping more and she witnessed a wild coughing fit. I also think that's where the whole 'search for God' is all about. Somethings wrong with Steve. (I've watched the movie so I'm trying to say it like it's my first time talking about this book) I think she's getting a lot closer to her dad but it might be a little too late to say sorry since her dad is very ill.
29-Epi The last few chapters were bittersweet, because I don't like how Steve has to die but it still so beautiful that Ronnie stood by her father's side and just for him began playing the piano again! I at least cried 10 times. It's ridiculous, I know but it just got to me. She knew he was dying and couldn't do anything about it. I felt helpless reading it. I know it's fiction but it broke my heart. It held a great moral, don't take anything for granted. Ronnie was so strong for such a young age I truly believe that she has matured into an exceptional girl. I don't like the way things end with Will but then I'm glad that they make up at the very end. I also like how his family paid for the church's expenses at his request. BEST BOOK EVER!! I think I'll read this every year!! Hope you guys enjoyed it as much as me!!
Okay soni've been uploading on my iPad and I guess it wasn't really because today I got on my laptop and it wasn't on thier. Sorry guys! But here it is!

I also like how Ronnie doesn't fall into temptation and has a good idea of life! And I wish the book ended with Will and Ronnie getting married with children with a happy ever after. It gives me closure. Haha!! I like even more that due to her father's death she realizes she can do better than her old friends and make a life for her self. GO RONNIE!!

Awesome thoughts Bernie! I too enjoyed this book alot and couldn't help but cry throughout various parts of the book. I read it in the car alot and when my mom would hear my exasperated shouts she would alwauys freak out. "WHATS WRONG?!" "Marcus is gross", "Ronnie is mean", "I love love", "Will is a cutie" and many other things were said. I'm so proud of Ronnie for finally learning the virtue of forgiveness. Her parents made lots of mistakes but so do the rest of us! So they definitely deserved her forgiveness. Blaze also learned to forgive obviously. Marcus got what he deserved. The only place he should be is jail because if hes any where else the world is in danger. In the last few chapters, I realized how great of a man Steve is. God's truly blessed him. He kind of reminded me of my Dad. Her Mom...that lady surely regrets cheating on such a marvelous man! I love Jonah with all my heart! He's so innocent and jsut wants to make everyone around him happy! Will is so smart. Finally denying his mother and surprising Ronnie was perfect. I too wish there would have been marriage and kids but I guess that's just some ambiguity for us! To me, the whole book's theme is jsut learning to forgive and trust in what God has in store for you. In the end everyone got what God wanted for them. Also what was best for them.

Is it possible to be in love with a book? Because I think I am. This book was absolutely amazing. I agree with Juliana because I love love as well! It's just such a beautiful thing. I love how Ronnie and Steve finally got the relationship he had always hoped for in the end of the book. I hate that he had to pass away for Ronnie to realize what she needed to do with her life, but I guess that is just how God works sometimes. I am so glad that they had a good relationship before he passed because things would have been a lot different for Ronnie, had they not made up. I think it is amazing how Steve's death brought Ronnie, Jonah, and their mother closer to each other. I love that Ronnie and Jonah became much closer once they got back to New York. Their relationship is so adorable and I'm glad they helped each other move on. "... she reminded herself that it was time to look ahead, not back." I absolutely love this quote because it is extremely true. You shouldn't dwell on the past because there is nothing you can do about it. What has happened is done and over with and there is no point in still thinking about it. The ending of this book is equivalent to perfection. I love that Ronnie is pursuing her and her father's dreams and attempting to attending Julliard. Her father always knew that she was destined to play the piano, and I'm glad that she finally realized it as well. Will's "re-entrance" into Ronnie's life at the end was beautiful. I love that he stood up to his mother because he truly loved Ronnie and went after her. I think it's crazy how his actual dream school is in the same state that Ronnie lives in. It's crazy how things work out like that. Despite the tragedy, I am so glad that Ronnie's life unfolded the way it did. In the end, everything worked out for the better.
THIS BOOK WAS AMAZING!
