The first thing you think when someone commits suicide is “Why?” Many times people don’t leave any notes explaining why they did it, but in this case Hannah left a series of notes to the many people who touched her life. Some people don’t know what kind of impact they have on someone’s life. It can be positive or negative. In my personal opinion, I thought that the people on these tapes needed to hear how their actions affected her. However, it was a way to seek revenge. They ridiculed Hannah so she’s dishing it back to them. She’s just convincing herself that it isn’t revenge! What do guys think??

Even though everyone makes mistakes in life that could impact someone else’s life, Hannah took the tapes a little too far. On tapes 1 and 2 both sides, Hannah was somewhat harsh, especially on Tyler’s tape. I do agree with Mikaela that Justin, Jessica, Alex, and Tyler needed to hear what Hannah felt. I think that it could positively change them. I felt that Hannah should have been gentler with what she said on the tapes especially because thirteen people are going to hear these tapes. Personally I like that Hannah made the tapes to show how people can affect others.

The next few chapters you find out little by little what else others have done to Hannah. I was surprised by what they did to her! The Peeping Tom one was just weird!! I just have to say Clay is a such a good guy! Clay didn't want to her hurt at all, but Hannah pushed him away! Of course she's very careful with who she trusts in her life. In that moment when I read that all I could think was "NOOOO!" Throughout this book, I've come to love Clay so much! This is such a good book that I can't put it down!

I agree with Mikaela about Clay. He is such a good kid and he wanted to help Hannah but she refused him. As I read the next chapters I started to really understand Hannah's struggle with her life. So many people hurt her and tore her down when she needed someone to bring her up and lift her out if sorrow. I feel bad for Hannah, but I wish she would've opened up to Clay! He could've helped Hannah through all of this. On a side note- I was surprised when I found out that Tony has the second set of tapes! I'm really excited to see how this books ends!

Wow! These last chapters and epilogue of this book have been absolutely amazing. I can't believe how many people could have helped Hannah but didn't because she shut them out. I really felt bad for Clay that he had to listen to all these tapes, but his was more of an apology rather than him getting bashed. Bryce's story was very disturbing but made me realize how he was using Hannah and Hannah was using him. I was very frustrated with Mr. Porter's side of the tape. I felt like he knew Hannah was going to commit suicide and he tried to help but he didn't try hard enough. I felt that Mr. Porter had the best opportunity to help Hannah and he didn't use it. I felt bad for Hannah and her struggle through her short life, but I also feel bad for those who were on the tapes even though some of them deserved it.

Okay....I thought the end of the book was good! Clay finally saw the signs of someone considering suicide, that's why he followed Skye! I didn't understand it at first, but when I finally got it I was like "Duh!" I only had two problems with this book. First, I hated how Mr.Porter just let Hannah slip through his fingers, just like Adrianna said "He didn't try hard enough". Ohhh that mad me mad! Second, now that I know that Clay and Hannah had a chance to be together before she died, I was frustrated that he didn't see the signs that Hannah was showing. Also I was frustrated that Hannah didn't give him a chance! I know she had already died, but some part of me was hoping that Hannah would pop out and say "Surprise!...Just kidding!" Overall it was a good story and a wake up call to start watching for signs in our school.
