I didn't expect the book to go so quickly. I like the whole plot about Logan's commitment to finding "the woman" through a transcontinental hike. Logan got accustomed to the town so quickly when he was arrived. I could understand why Beth was cautious at first, but later became comfortable due to Logan's newfound relations with her son. I think Clayton should've back off from Beth, but then again he is the antagonist. Overall, i thought the book was pretty good. It went by fast though.

I find it a little strange how after just a few weeks (maybe months) of Beth knowing Logan she asked him out on a date. All she really knows about him is that he was a marine and he walked all the way to Hampton from Colorado. Of course, we as the audience know that Logan is a good guy, but she wouldn't have really known at that point in time that he wasn't some lunatic. But I guess it worked out anyway.

Andy and Christian have a point! The fact that Beth was so into Logan that quick was a little strange. She doesnt really know a lot about him to be so involved and i think she could have been more cautious, but its a book and of course he didnt turn out to be a crazy lunatic like Christian said! It all worked out in the end though!

These next 14 chapters have only fueled my hatred for Clayton. It sickens me how he can use Drake's death to try to get Elizabeth, and for all the wrong reasons. It would be a bit more understandable if he still loved her, but in my opinion he never did and most definitely doesn't now. On the other hand, Logan should've summed up the courage to tell Beth about the picture himself. Sure, she still would've freaked out, but I have a feeling it would've gone down better. I think it was really sweet of Logan to give Ben the picture. After all, it's not just any picture; it's the lucky charm that had been saving his life for five years. I hope that Elizabeth comes to realize how much Logan truly loves not only her, but also Nana and Ben. I also hope that Clayton learns his lesson and just grows up and moves on.

This book has changed dramatically in my opinion it started off really slow and started getting interesting and is actually really a good book. I really don't like Clayton I think he is a pervert and a stalker. I think he needs to get over beth and move on and have no right to Ben what so ever. I think the way Logan treats Ben I think that says a lot about him and also helps Beth trust him even more even though they are basically a thing in the end. The only thing I don't like about Logan is he is super secretive and I think he needs to be more open with Beth or its gonna come back and bite him no spoilers. I liked this book read it all and also re watched the movie. By the way the movie is nothing like the book. But I liked the book very much for a "chick flick"

The book has changed a lot in my opinion. The last post i was still not sure of the book because i thought it might be kinda stupid but my opinion has changed a lot . Logan has started his job and is good at it. He meets Beth's son and they become friends very fast. Clayton has noticed that Logan has been hanging around with Beth and Ben. Clayton does not like that Logan is friends with Ben and tries to stop it. I really don't like Clayton at all because he is mean and a jerk to Beth and treats Ben badly. Logan has also tried to tell Beth about the picture but could not find the courage to tell her. He then gives the picture to Ben and tells him to keep it. This shows the friendship between the two and that it is strong.

Just to start off I have to say I love how Ethan Cookies described Clayton. A pervert and a stalker. The 2 best ways to describe the man! I really like how Beth likes how Logan gets along with Ben. I think Logan is doing the right thing to keep the secret and to take the job to keep him close to Beth. I think their love 'scene' of the book was disturbing especially when they don't really KNOW each other. They're just friends with benefits. I think it's hard to figure out why they stall their relationship. I wish Ben could stop visiting Keith. He's a bad influence especially to Ben. I hate Keith for telling Beth about the picture and he is just jealous and wants to get Beth and be a family again. It ain't happenin.

This book is starting to get more and more interesting. The feud with Clayton is starting to become the main reason why i like this book, even though most of you do not like him. Even though Beth and Logan really like each other now. His desire to stop Logan and Beth from falling in love is really starting to become a factor in this story, and also how he tries to get Logan and Ben from getting along. This book is still becoming more and more interesting as i go through it.

This book is really started to pull me in even more. I am beginning to really hate Clayton even more. The fact that he is doing everything he can to keep Beth and Logan from falling in love is really bothering me. I still wish Logan would've told Beth about the picture so she wouldn't have had to find out that way. Logan truly loves Beth and her family and I hope that Beth is able to see that and not let this ruin their relationship. I really love the relationship between Logan and Ben. It is really sweet. I'm looking forward to the rest of this book but I kind of wish Clayton would just disappear.

This is obviously when things start to pick up ( the climax, the peak, ). I was drawn into this book even more . As the book progresses, the agitation and annoyance of Clayton grows even more. Beth reacted the exact way Clayton wanted it to be. I understand her reaction, but I like Logan being with Ben and Beth. The fact that Beth kicked Logan out of the house makes you want to read whatever's next.

Clayton really does fuel my hate fire. I really don't like how he just tries to keep Logan and Beth apart. Plus, he is just an overall bad person. But I agree that Logan should've just told Beth about the picture giving him luck. But he does love her so much.

So far the book has had it's ups and downs. I have to admit I find myself drifting off when I'm reading. But is Dodd have a wonderful story. Clayton makes me extremely frustrated because he thinks to highly of himself. I would hope Logan would just beat him up but I know he won't do that. I think that Logan and Beth should get along great. Little does Beth know but she has saved Logan's life when he was on tour. However the picture of her, or the good luck charm did belong to her brother. I don't think she should be upset when he tells her that though.

Hey guys! Sorry I didn't post yesterday, I was at Steubenville and didn't get back until after midnight. Now, onto the book...
LOGAN CONFRONTS CLAYTON. Amazing. I'd be lying if I didn't say that was pretty much my favorite part of the book so far. Next, we see the musical side of Logan. Again, this is amazing, because who doesn't love a guy that plays the piano? Even more endearing is his seemingly never-ending love and affection for Ben. I also love that Clayton has to sit and watch Logan at mass, and can't do a thing about it. Logan even inspired Ben to want to take up the piano! However, things take a turn for the worse when Clayton's friend Tony calls him regarding Logan and Beth's picture. Then (ironically) JUST AFTER Logan gives Ben the photograph, Beth confronts Logan about what Keith said to her. He should've kept that to himself... But of course he just couldn't resist. This break-up was surely one of the most dramatic any Nicholas Sparks novel I've read.

I agree with Jacquelyn. I loves it when Logan confronts Clayton. I also loved when Logan and Ben played together at church. They get along so well. Unfortunately tony does tell Clayton about the picture. The stupid picture ruins everything. I somewhat wish that Logan had told Beth the truth from the very beginning, however I'm also glad he didn't because they have such a good thing going. I think it's perfect, especially the relationship between Logan and Ben. I really wish that Clayton would just disappear. Things will never stop unless he does because he will never come to reason with anyone.

In these chapters the book has gotten very interesting. Logan confronts Clayton about being a jerk to Beth. Logan and Ben become more friends when Ben finds out that Logan has musical talent. Also Logan has been hanging out with Ben and they have become good friends. Logan helps Ben in his music playing ability. Logan is also forced to tell Beth about the picture because Keith's friend told him about it. He broke up with Beth and he trys to explain it to her and what happened. Keith was trying to break them up because he doesn't want Beth to be with anyone else but him.
