I won't be able to discuss the book on the 8th so i guess I will start now. I was surprised how fast I went through the book so far,and by how much I'm enjoying it. I think that anyone could read this book and at least enjoy it a little bit because there is action as well as the romance. I remember Logan's friend Victor saying that the picture of Elizabeth was a good luck charm for him but it would give him bad luck if he lost it. Drake, the original owner of the "good luck charm" lost it, and he ended up dying. I just thought of that and it seemed interesting.

So far, I'm really enjoying this story. I love how honest Logan and Elizabeth are with each other, and how Logan is able to get along with Ben so effortlessly. However, I really wish that Logan would have told Beth about the picture he found in Iraq the night of Drake's birthday. I have a feeling that choosing to keep that from her will come back to haunt him (sooner or later). Also, I really wish that Clayton would grow up and realize that he doesn't deserve Beth, and that clearly she has moved on. One of my favorite characters in the story so far would have to be Nana. I love her creative metaphors and witty spirit. Another thing that I love about this story is that it swithes from character to character, and also switches from the present to Logan's past in Iraq and he and Zeus' walk from Colorado to North Carolina. I'm thankful that this romance novel contains so much military action, so that it appeals to boys as well.

So I was behind on this book I had a late start. But this book is good I have seen the movie and so far it's pretty close to the book the movie was bad I thought though. Anyways I do like this book I think Logan is smart to treat Elizabeth as good as he does I think he should be a little more carful with some stuff though. Like he should have told her about some stuff but I can understand why I imagine being a solider is very stressful and I probably wouldn't want to tell a whole lot about it either like the picture he found I understand why he would keep it to himself . Overall I do like this book it seems like I have to read a lot of romantic stuff now. Hopefully this book keeps me entertained cause ill stop fully understanding it if it does , but right now it's doing good I guess. But it's got a mix or genres it's a romantic but it's got a little action, drama, suspense,etc... I will keep reading this book and looking forward to what is to come.

So far I am very interested in this book. Also I am surprised how fast i was able to go through this part of the story. i was really interested about the past of the character Logan Thibault. And how he was in the military, and when he found the photo that said "keep safe" on the back of it, then survives an attack, and is considered his lucky charm. I also like the conflict made between Logan and the deputy sheriff, Clayton. I hope i begin to like the story more and more as I go on.

I know this book is considered a 'chick flick' but it's not what I thought it would be like. I really like the story so far and I was surprised how it said Logan has been a perfect employee and even being an over achiever at work and didn't even come to North Carolina for this reason. I like how they got to the story going really fast! I think it was meant to be just by him walking all the way to North Carolina from Colorado! I agree with Jacquelyn. Clayton should grow up and realize Beth is too good for her and he should leave her alone.I think that Nana left to go to her sister's on purpose so that Beth and Logan would be forced to talk to each other and get to know each other. I think that Logan coming to the dog kennel has influenced everyone in the family in a good way. It has made Ben happier, who has defiantly been my favorite character so far.

This book started off slow but picked up early on and now it is fast pace. I got through the chapters pretty quick. I like the beginning of the book where he is in Iraq because i knew this was going to be a chick flick so it was good to read some action parts in there. So far Logan has found the photo of a woman that is pretty and keeps it. His friend said it was his good luck charm because it keep him safe so far. when he returns from Iraq he wants to find this woman but all it says on the back is "keep safe". He narrows down his search to North Carolina and finds the woman named Beth who has a child named Ben and they live with Beth's mom. While Logan is looking for Beth he runs into her ex Clayton which there is a conflict between the two. Later on Logan finds out Beth works at a dog kennel so he applies there and gets the job. So far Logan is my favorite character.

I have really enjoyed this book so far. I really like that Logan and Elizabeth started connecting right away. I love romance so this book is perfect for me. I couldn't put the book down when it was telling about how Logan found the picture of Elizabeth's brother. I wish that he would've told her that he had found it as soon as he found out about him. I feel as though because he didn't tell her, she is going to find out and it could potentially ruin what they have together. I wish that Clayton would understand that he isn't good with Ben and I wish he would be a little more mature about everything. I hope this book keeps on going like this because I am really enjoying it so far.

I missed the first discussion, but I figure better late than never. I can hardly figure all this post and reply stuff. Anyways so far in this book I really enjoyed it. I have always wanted to read more of Nicholas Sparks’ books. As usual I have held high expectations for Sparks, and as usual he has surpassed them. I love the richness of his characters. Logan is a really good character and appeals to a big audience. So far in the book, Logan has finished his long journey of walking to North Carolina to find the woman that is his “good luck charm”. So far the good luck charm has proved its name; Logan has survived Iraq even when many of his fellow soldiers have not. At this point in the book, Logan finds Elizabeth and applies for a job at the kennel. Elizabeth isn’t sure of him yet, but Logan quickly gains Nana’s trust and makes friends with Elizabeth’s son. I really like this book so far, and since I am a girl, I can’t wait to watch them fall in lurveeeee!

I'm sorry this is so late! But so far I'm really enjoying the book. Like many others, I had a late start (basketball and work, sorry again!) but I am really impressed. I have heard about Nicholas Sparks books, because my sisters read them all the time, and I thought they were just for girls, but I'm really liking it! It's kind of cool how Logan can just find a picture out of the rubble, and carries it around, and has immeadiate good luck. I wish I had that!

I think the fact that he gets luck from this picture makes everybody want to imagine their life if something like that happened! This book really opens up the mind and imagination. I was weary about this book at first because of it being a "love story", but this book has really impressed me and i recommend it. :)
