Chapter 1, the point of veiw is from Nick that moved to West egg and is next door neighbors to Gatsby and he visited his second removed cousin named Daisy and her husband Tom who are very wealthy that moved to new york after living i france and they brought alot of horses because they are really into polo. While Nick was there he was taking to daisys friend miss. Baker and she told him that Tom has another woman that daisy does not know about. Chapter 2, is about how Nick and Tom went to an island Where Tom lead Nick to his friends the Wilsons. Later nick finds out that Mrytl Wilson is Toms other lover. The four of them go to a party with the McKees and Nick got very drunk and had to catch the 4 am train. Chapter 3 Nick has always wondered why the Great Gatsby was so famous and he learns that it is because he throws really good parties. Nick got invited to a party and felt out of place and not welcome, then nick got to thinking "how did he get his money" he saw miss. Baker at the party and asked her and she said it was because he was an Russian Spy during the war. While Nick was there he sat next to a man that he served with during the war.

The Great Gatsby is narrated by Nick Carraway. I like how he explains himself as highly moral and highly tolerant. Nick is a young man from Minnesota and he moves to New York to his job at the West Egg. The West Egg is for rich people who only very recently made their money. In Chapter 1 Nick meets Tom Buchanan and I find it interesting how he recommends a book inside of a book. That night they go to a dinner and once Nick gets home he sees Gatsby for the first time which was very exciting. Moving to Chapter 2 was sort of a downer. Chapter 2 was very eerie and gloomy. They describe an area between New York City and the West Egg. On a train home Tom forces Nick to follow him at one of the stops and takes him to George Wilson's Garage. Here they meet Toms lover and they all take another train back to New York City. They all go to a party and it's cool because nick admits its only the second time he got drunk. This chapter swung moods in my opinion. Chapter 3 is more about Jay Gatsby and how he is famous mostly because of his parties. Nick attends one of his parties and he sits at a table with a familiar looking man who soon introduces himself as Jay Gatsby which was thrilling. This chapter really opened up the book and makes it very exciting

It is weird how Gatsby can get away with so many things like speeding and when the cop pulled him over Gatsby just showed him a card and the Police man apologized for the inconvenience. What do you think?

I agree. Its pretty unfair how he is able to get away with things like this because he is so rich. What do you think about in Chapter 5 when Gatsby approaches Nick and tries very hard to get Nick to agree with his plan to have Daisy over? I think that he may just be using Nick but I am not quite sure! This book is getting better and better!!

Gatsby and Daisy did date for a while and when he found out that Nick and Daisy were friends he did use Nick to get to Daisy, even Though Gatsby knew that she was married.

In Chapter 6 it reveals that Gatsby did not grow up wealthy and his real name was James Gatz and he grew up on a farm. He tried to go to collage but he dropped out after a couple weeks. Why do you think he did that?

I think it is because he was so embarrassed that he wasn't wealthy. It talks about how he had to work as a janitor to pay for school. I am very impressed of where he is today to where he was as a young man.

In chapter 7 Gatsby finally makes his move on Daisy, He did not want any gossip about it so he fired all of his workers so no one would find out. Nick went to Daisy and Toms house and he noticed that Gatsby was there too along with miss. Baker. As the night went on Daisy and Gatsby could feel each others feelings and went to New York with Tom. Nick drove with Miss. Baker, Tom got an Idea of what was happening. Daisy and Gatsby went back to Rhode Island and when Nick, Tom, and Miss. Baker was driving threw the dust land Myrtle was hit by a car. Who do you think ran over her?

The end of this book was very interesting and it taught a good lesson. It turns out that Mr. and Mrs. Wilson was moving out of town because he found about The affair that Tom and his wife were having so she escaped and ran out in front of Daisy and Gatsby car, then Mr. Wilson was going to kill Tom but Tom told MR. Wilson that Gatsby did it. Mr. Wilson shot Gatsby and then took his own life. Nick had a funeral service for Gatsby and called all of the people in a phone book that he found in Gatsby house. No one went to the funeral besides Nick and Gatsby Father. It shows that be your self and have real friends. The only reason people were friends with Gatsby was for the parties and Gatsby was a bootlegger and in Business with bad people just so he could be rich to get back with Daisy.

I agree, the end of the book sort of tied up all of the loose ends, and it did teach a good lesson. Its sort of sad how we find out that Gatsby didn't actually have any real friends. i Guess all you can really say is,
"So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past."
