For the book reviews do we have to choose three different book other than the book we read for the book club? Or do we use the book club book as review #2?

Do we have to write a review over the book we read for the book club?

I really need help. I've already missed an assignment, and the next one is coming up. I have no idea what to do. This isn't like what we had to do last year at all and this website is really confusing. Please help.

Advertisement: If I did a drawing, and my book was turned into a movie, could I draw the actors/actresses in my drawing? And for words (if I have to add them in artwork), could i add like short snippets of reviews by critics? Can I add some of my favorite quotes? I'm just a little confused of what is required if I do artwork...!

Hi Ms. Kalmar! I forgot that tomorrow I'll be gone at camp until the 26th, and I'll be gone during two discussions (one being the final discussion). I've already finished the book early. Is it okay if I just post one more today (or tomorrow before I leave) to make up for it? Thanks!

Do we have to write a review over the book we read for the book club? Yes. It gives you an opportunity to step back and look at the big picture instead of the details you've been paying attention to for your discussion.

Think about what the purpose of an advertisement is... to try to convince other people to buy a product, watch a movie, or, in this case, read a book. What do you think your peers would find interesting / alluring about the book? Try to communicate that with your artwork (& any words you include). Best of luck!

Hi Riza, I'm happy to help you out with whatever you need, but you need to be more specific for me! Look over the assignment website again... englishii.yolasite.com/summer-reading, and let me know which parts of the assignment I can help you with. You can post here again or send me an email (akalmar@mountstmary.org).

For the movie trailer/creative element of third report can we turn in the project as a group report? Also can we work with our peers and book club and make a advertisement and turn it in and all get credit as a group?

Also can we work with our peers and book club and make a advertisement and turn it in and all get credit as a group? Lexi, I think I'm okay with this idea! If you do go this route, however, I'd like everyone in the group to submit an individual project summary explaining: (1) a little bit about your creative/collaborative process; (2) what your own role was; (3) what you were trying to convey with your finished product. It doesn't have to be long, but it should be thoughtful.

I was a little confused about the third book, so I looked at the directions again and my question was answered but I saw this thread and I was curious to see if there was any additional information I may have missed, and I guess there was. I didn't know that we needed to post a book review outside of the book club and I'm worried about how that'd affect that particular part of the summer reading assignments. Is there anything I could do about it now? Do you want me to go ahead and post the book review for the one that I read in the book club now?

This will probably sound silly but since I didn't find My Sister's Keeper in the AP Level Book section in any of the links you posted, could I still do my advertisement over My Sister's Keeper and just write a review over an AP level book that I am almost done with? (I will also write a review over My Sister's Keeper).
