This book just keeps getting better and more and more interesting as it goes along. Like Leslie said, I wish that the movie was as descriptive as the book is. The book gives you even more information and meaning than I would ever have gotten from watching the movie. The details and the way the story is flowing is amazing. I thought that it would have been a slow moving story, but it keeps you interested the entire time that you read it. There is always something going on, but it is still easy to follow along. So far this book is great and I really wish that I had gotten into the Harry Potter series sooner.

Sorry I'm super late to join.
I've read this book before, but it was four years ago (I think). I always try to picture myself in the story somehow, so sorry if I seem to think it's real while I am on here. This book is always a slow start for me, but I love to read it anyways. I always feel sorry for Harry. In the book and the movie, the Dursleys are the worst people I could imagine. I just want to jump into the book and give Harry his letters and then tell him that he is a wizard. I wonder, since, as Leslie said, Harry noticed the strange things happening, if Harry would have thought even in his wildest dreams that he was a wizard. I am a big Harry Potter fan so, I have a Pottermore account. If you read the books along with doing the Pottermore journey thing though, it will help you understand where J. K. Rowling got her ideas, and it will help you understand the book more. It would be a good thing to look into if you're not quite understanding something about the book. This book is fantastic. I can not wait to read more of it. I hope Harry has the best birthday of his life in the next chapter. It's ok and that's awesome I feel that way too sometimes and don't forget it's chapters 1-3 due today!!:) and I'm glad you joined Oops... That was supposed to be my chapters 1-3. I guess I didn't talk about the book very much, did I?

The more I move into the book the more I want to read it. The book is so much different then the movie then I thought and I actually like the book better now. It so cool how Harry is getting ready to go to Hogwarts and how he met his two best friends without knowing it. I wish the movie was just as descriptive as the book. I also like how Mr. Ollivander measured Harry so much and how fascinated Mr. Ollivander got when he couldn't find the right wand for Harry. I also like how the book explains what every wand is made of. I am loving this book so I am going to keep reading it until the end and who knows may be read it more than once. ::) That's fantastic to hear! I wish the movie was like that too. I also hope you go on to read the other books too because they are just as amazing as this one!

The wizarding world is so different from the muggle world! It's unbelievable how J.K. Rowling thought of all of this. Vernon Dursley needed to just stop talking when Hagrid was at the hut. He was just getting himself into deeper trouble with Hagrid. Then Diagon Alley, it is probably one of the coolest places (besides Hogwarts) to me. I can just imagine a bunch of wizards roaming the streets buying supplies that would make me wriggle. The saying, "If you love what you do, than you never work a day in your life," said by I really don't know who said it actually, really fits Mr. Ollivander when helping Harry. I think if I was helping Harry find his wand, I would have gotten frustrated with it. The kid in Madam Malkins just annoyed me throughout the conversation, but then we find out it's Draco Malfoy and it all makes sense. I really want to meet the Weasleys. They seem like they are really fun to be around (especially Fred and George). I like how Mrs. Weasley is nice to Harry when she doesn't know who he is, and then she doesn't freak out or anything when she finds out that it is Harry. Then, Ron also seems really cool after he gets over the fact that he is sitting in the same compartment as Harry Potter. I can't wait to see what happens to Harry at Hogwarts.

I think things are Changing for him. I guess the grass is greener on the other said haha can't stop reading

Woohoo!! Harry is in Gryffindor and so is his new best friend Ron and that annoying girl Hermione. It's very cool how the sorting hat can read their minds. I think if Harry wouldn't of asked to not be in Slytherin then he would of been in it. It's so weird how Snape hates Harry so much. I don't know about you all but I think Snape was trying to get everyone mad at Harry for getting two points off Gryffindor and also tried to make Harry look bad, because Snape knew that Harry was knew to everything in that world. When Harry and Ron went to Hagrids house I could tell Hagrid was hiding something or unless he wanted to tell something to Harry, but Ron had gone with him. When Harry got on the broom and caught the Remembrall in mid-air and then getting in the Gryffindor Quidditch team is just sooo awsome. I really don't like Malfoy he set Harry up so he could get expelled. I just can't wait until Malfoy finds out Harry is in the Quidditch team. I like the part where Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Nevillle got back to the common room and Hermoine said that she was going to bed before they got her killed or even worse expelled. Well, I'm enjoying this book so much I would keep typing more things on here, but I've got to go read some more. Okay, last thing I'm going to say I'm just curious of what is under that trapdoor... :)

I'm so glad Harry and Ron got into Gryffindor together! I hope they achieve big things! I always sing along to the Sorting Hat's song and the school song. It is really fun! I wonder why Harry's scar hurt at the feast. I also wonder why they can't go into the third-floor corridor on the right hand side. I wish Dumbledore would have told them why. I think Peeves should have had more of a part in the movies though. I think Harry needed the visit to Hagrid's just to unwind a little bit from his whole new lifestyle. What is Hagrid hiding? Harry is a natural at riding a broom! Yeah! Something that he is good at! He is better than Draco! I thought McGonagall was going to expel Harry at first, but then putting him on the Quidditch team was amazing! Draco needs to be hit or something. I can't believe that he would stoop that low to get Harry in trouble. Hermione should not have followed them out of the common room just so she could let them back in if the fat lady was not there. Poor Neville though. He forgets quite a lot. I wonder what exactly was under that trap door though. I guess we'll find out everything later in the book. It just keeps getting better and better.
Also this isn't really about the book, but I'm on vacation until Saturday. I will try to get on here when we have to post, but I might forget. So, sorry ahead of time if I forget to post.

Just by asking to be in Gryffindor, he was showing his bravery. I don't think many people would ask to not be in a house, to be in a certain house, or even really talk to the sorting hat.
